Be a "Doer"
Helping people manage their money and finances while maintaining or improving their standard of living, is part of the reason I have been driven to work hard for our clients at Foresight Wealth Management. Finding joy in that journey is one of the reasons I founded Nugent Magazine as a place to celebrate GOOD people doing GOOD things. My vision for the magazine (and all our social media platforms) is for it to be a place where we can spotlight those people and companies who are helping others to make the world a better place. We are striving to “change the conversation” one good news story at a time. Today, it seems like there is no better time to inspire, motivate and support others as most of the world sits in quarantine because of COVID-19. I have been impressed with the innovation, compassion, and creativity that is happening right now in the world. There are “Doers” who are trying to solve the medical crisis by making affordable diagnostic test kits, medical professionals working long hours helping the sick while potentially exposing themselves to the virus, and researchers trying to come up with the vaccine. There are “Doers” stocking shelves at the grocery stores, delivering supplies, building makeshift medical facilities, and all the restaurant staff who work so we all have take-out food available. There are “Doers” who are keeping a positive spirit by sharing their talents like singing from balconies and backyards, creating online learning and activities for adults and children to do while stuck at home and those who are posting motivation stories, thoughts, and even corny jokes and videos. We have “Doers” who are donating a couple of rolls of toilet paper to a neighbor in need and there are “Doers” who are donating millions of dollars and thousands of hours of their time to help others. We should follow the guidelines set for us which include social distancing and self-quarantine, but now is the time to go and “Do” and help and serve others where you can. It can be as simple as sending a text, making a phone call or putting a note put on someone’s door letting them know you care and are thinking about them. Or perhaps, dropping off a meal to someone who is elderly, sick or homebound. I am thankful for all the “Doers” out there who are working to help solve the current world’s issues. And for those who are GOOD, kind and generous. Our team will be working to share those GOOD stories with you to hopefully brighten your day. As you are sitting home and need some inspiration, follow Nugent Magazine on social media @nugentmagazine and @nugentgoodnews and read all of our Nugent Magazine issues free online at nugentmagazine.com. Wishing the best for you and your family. DO GOOD. Adam Nugent Founder of Nugent Magazine CEO and Founder of Foresight Wealth Management
